Personal Summary: Having worked in a real studio, then set out in my own virtual studio, this might be a book I would have wanted to pick up should I start out again in another life. For the beginner it seems to go into overviews of how things could and would work and some different configurations. While the reviewer comments that the software used as examples will quickly be dated, he does note that the principles in the book are a solid foundation of technical concepts and knowledge that will help any novice or intermediate user.
